Being in the waiting room does not mean you are doing nothing. ‘Active Waiting’ is full of obedience, prayer, worship, and growth. Joseph served God and others and became a witness to God’s faithfulness to others. That being said, my waiting room behavior needs to be more like Joseph’s.

Kate, this is a very helpful devotion on the topic of waiting. A very inspiring and helpful reminder for me to keep waiting on God's timing and plan for me because he's always on time!

I know people usually use Job as an example of patience but I've always found Joseph's story far more encouraging. It's such a great example for us.

I agree. Joseph had quite a life. His family not only didn't like him but wanted him dead. He had so many hardships (and for long periods of time). God used him in big ways no matter what his circumstances.
