”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day,”
Thank you, Kate for the reminder as we long to hear the words from our Lord, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” 🙏❤️
I'm sorry you have lost your mom. I do think these words are perfect for a tombstone, what a witness to all who see it of a life lived for God. It's what it's all about. Thanks so much for commenting!
I love this! It’s so important to remember we’re not alone in this race. Thanks for this important message Kate!
Thank you for this, Kate!
Excellent!
Thank you!❤️
Yes! Very well put. We have all we need to run this race, if we just stick it out!
I loved paragraph "Run Determined - focus on the prize."! Thanks
Great post, Kate! As a former college track athlete I really appreciate this one!
Hats off to you - I am no athlete! The race of life is the only race I've been involved in for years! Ha! Do you run for fun these days?
Haha I actually don’t ! I was a middle distance sprinter and the only running I do now is maybe a 1-2 miler 😂
These words are written on my moms tombstone:
2 Timothy 4:7-8a (NKJV)
”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day,”
Thank you, Kate for the reminder as we long to hear the words from our Lord, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” 🙏❤️

Having a great coach makes a world of difference too! I am so glad that the Lord is mine.

So true!
Inspiring, Kate. Good way to start my day. The last Timothy quote is a favorite. I'd add
Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:11 NLT
Love the addition of the 2 Peter 1:11 verse!
