Hi Kate, this was such a great post! I really liked the Bible verse you included at the end there. It truly embodies that being thankful for what we have, even the smaller things, is what helps build our kingdom in heaven. I’ve also been working a lot at having more faith in God in general instead of getting scared and letting the Devil win. Your newsletter is awesome by the way! Just subscribed!

Ahhh…the Lord brought me to this today. I deleted FB and IG this morning as a “dopamine detox” bcz I have been stuck and not moving forward. I have been praying and mediating seeking His next steps. And the next step is easy. HIM. Only Him. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things will be added into you. I love adventure and my value has been wrapped up in the making a great “splash” for God or planning the next trip. But he drew me again today to 1 Thess. 4:11 aspire to live a quiet life, minding your own affairs, working with your hands. ☺️

I love a simple life! Some of my most enjoyable moments are spending time in my kitchen preparing a meal to share with family or friends. The laughter and smiles around the table can’t be bought. To me, it is a beautiful gift from the Lord. ❤️. I have had a lot of the things of the world but in the last decade have realized it only fulfills for a short time. Serving others and the love and peace of Jesus last forever. 🙏

Ecclesiastes 1:14

I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
