Do you remember when your mom used to say, “I want this house picked up before I get home or you’ll be in trouble”?
It wasn’t until my brothers and I saw Mom’s car pull into the driveway that we decided to take the duty seriously.
We knew we had approximately two minutes to put all the toys, clothes, and backpacks in their rightful place before her fast-approaching arrival through the front door.
In the same way, I feel as if Christians understand His arrival is imminent.
Feeling the urgency of the times in which we live, what should Christians do?
1. Stand Firm
Put on your full armor of God. (Ephesians 6)
Know what you believe and who you believe in. (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
Fill your heart and mind with things that are biblical, not worldly. (Colossians 3:2)
2. Ask God for help.
Ask for strength and courage to face the evil in this world. (1 Corinthians 16:13)
Ask for wisdom and discernment in these often confusing times. (Romans 12:2)
Ask for opportunities to serve Him. (Colossians 3:17)
3. Share the Gospel.
We are all living on borrowed time. No one is guaranteed tomorrow. (Proverbs 27:1)
Live in such a way that points others to Christ. (Matthew 5:16)
Invite someone to church.
Tell others how Jesus can change their life. (1 Peter 3:15)
4. Live Expectantly.
As Christians, we live in the light of what we know is coming: hard times and persecution.
Know your Bible. Read and study it because it tells you everything you need to know. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Some may say, “We’ve always had evil times and difficult seasons, why is this any different?”
Friends, we have never had so many world events converging simultaneously that are specifically setting the stage for the final Bible prophecies to be fulfilled.
Let’s all make good use of the time we’ve been given to live for Him.
“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”
Matthew 10:16 (NKJV)
Amen!
Amen!
