Ever have a close friend who knows exactly what to say to make you laugh?
Have someone in your life you enjoy sharing your accomplishments with?
Do you have a person you confide in with your hopes and dreams?
It’s easy to let people into the good parts of our lives.
However, we tend to make an effort to keep people from knowing our failures and weaknesses.
Do you really want people to know you are jealous of your co-worker because they got the promotion instead of you?
Or how you fed your kids cereal last night because you were too tired to fix supper?
Or how you told your husband he was lazy when you fought?
After all, if people knew our faults, they might think we are horrible and not want us as a friend anymore.
There is One who knows everything, even the deepest darkest secrets in our hearts and mind.
Yes, every single thing.
“And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:13
In spite of knowing all areas where we fall short, He still loves us.
He still desires a relationship with us.
He even forgives our sins.
When you wonder how God could ever love you because of all the times you fail Him, remember He knew every sin you would commit before He died on the cross to save you.
Romans 5:8 (ESV) “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Friend, take comfort in His intimate knowledge of you.
Take a moment to thank Him for His forgiveness in spite of our failures.
Share His love with others.
Dear Lord, thank you for knowing every part of my heart and loving me anyway. Help me to show that love to others who need it.
