If you feel like your life is crazy busy, you are not alone.
Here are three ways the enemy gets you to push God out of your schedule.
No time for prayer
Does this sound familiar?
“I have to pick up the grandkids and take them to school. I don’t have the time to go through my prayer list today.”
We might think we’ll fit it in sometime during the day and then it never happens.
Why is this so important?
Starting our day with prayer is committing the day to God and acknowledging whatever happens, we are going to serve Him.
No time for devotions
Does this sound familiar?
“I have to fix supper right after work and get the kids to a basketball game, I’ll read double in my devotions tomorrow.
Reading the Bible is important. If we aren’t studying the Bible, how will we know about the character of God and His direction for our lives?
One of the main ways He communicates with His children is through the Bible.
No time for church
Does this sound familiar?
“I have no groceries. I have to go to the store and clean the house. If I don’t do it today, I won’t get another chance. I’ll get to church next Sunday.”
If we aren’t attending church, we are missing the blessing of corporate worship. Paul told the Corinthians never to give up meeting together in person (see Hebrews 10:24-25).
Luke 14:16-24 is a parable about a man who prepared a grand banquet and invited many important guests. They all turned down the invitation because they were “too busy.” Those people missed out on something wonderful.
We need to assess our schedule. Make God a priority in our lives.
“but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV)
We need to make time for the things that nurture our relationship with God. We will never regret growing closer to Him.
Thanks! This is a required subject of consideration for many...
I was challenged with this as I raised my 4 children, one who had a severe and chronic health condition. Even without a family time management could be a challenge. DESIRE and PRIORITY are 2 keys:
Psalm 119:162 I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil. (ESV)
What would you manage to do if you found a great treasure? If God is not The Great Passion, The Great Love of your life, then what is?
I agree. Great points.
