Easter is the time Christians acknowledge Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
If you are not a Christian, it matters because it’s essential to understand what rejecting Christ means.
We are all sinners because we are born with a sinful nature.
Romans 3:23 (NJKV) “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
There are eternal consequences for sin.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Revelation 20:15 “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
If you are thinking, “Why do I need God? I’m doing OK without Him.”
All of us will die and face judgment. Not having a personal relationship with God means our judgment will be an eternity in hell.
Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,”
Jesus paid the penalty for our sin so we could be forgiven.
He paid for your sins by dying on the cross in your place.
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, is the cornerstone of our faith.
God sent His Son to save the world.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
If He hadn’t paid the price for our sins, there wouldn’t be salvation for us.
Do you feel like something is missing?
Do you feel like there is something more to this life?
Inviting Jesus into your heart changes everything. Your life has new meaning and purpose.
What do you have to do to be saved?
Just ask.
You must believe and ask Jesus to save you. You must accept His free gift of salvation.
Romans 10:13 “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’”
If you don’t know what to say, here’s a sample prayer. God knows your heart. Just talk to Him, He’s waiting to hear from you.
Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
Dear Jesus, I’m a sinner. I believe you died on the cross to pay for my sin. I want to give my life to you. Please help me to know you.
Thanks Kate for boldly posting this truth. That’s a very effective headline.
