Ever feel like your life is unsettled, and your hope is slipping away?
Having a heart full of hope is like being on top of a mountain taking in the spectacular view.
If you have ever lost your hope, you’ve experienced the valleys of despair.
You know what the valley of despair feels like if you have experienced:
deep sadness
heartbreaking grief
broken relationships
painful abuse
A Christian’s hope is not in something but someone.
Our hope is found in God, who is perfect and cannot fail.
We know the plan for our life is in His hands.
Our past circumstances and failures don’t have to prevent us from being optimistic about our future.
The Bible teaches when we are saved, we are born into a living hope. We become a new creation in Christ.
1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
What does this living hope mean?
We have hope for today.
The Holy Spirit graciously gives us joy and peace to face our daily challenges.
Romans 15:13
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace...”
We have hope for eternal life.
Our life on earth is the beginning, but it’s not the end of our story.
Titus 2:13
“…looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,”
We have hope to face what life brings.
Hard times are a part of everyone’s life, but we know God will help us through anything.
Romans 15:4
“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
The Bible illuminates our path and provides direction.
The enemy has a way of using discouragement to steal the believer’s hope.
If you feel you’ve lost it, don’t worry; it’s still there.
Have faith.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Dear Lord, strengthen my faith and help me to find my hope again.
Thank you Jesus for new and improved hope just for today
I needed to hear this today.😁
