When facing tough times, we just want someone to make us feel safe.
We need someone to convince us everything will be ok.
We hope someone will encourage us with the words we need to hear.
God is our answer.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction…”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4a (NASB 1995)
Here are three verses meant to provide comfort.
Fear may occupy your mind during the dark and unsettling times. Many problems seem beyond a clear solution.
As crime rises, many people feel uncertainty regarding their safety.
As world turmoil increases, many wonder what the future will hold.
We don’t have to fear man (who can only kill the body). Matthew 10:28
The Lord will bring comfort and peace to our anxious hearts.
Have you been grieving the loss of a relationship, the death of a loved one, or the fading of a dream?
When my brother died of cancer, God soothed my broken heart and gave me the promise of seeing him again. His reassurance helped my grief.
Give your sadness and anguish to the Lord. He will carry your burden and provide strength to your weary soul.
The Scriptures are the instruction manual for life.
His instruction and promises are all we need to navigate difficult problems:
Conflict
Stress
Trauma
Illness
Difficult change
What lies heavy on your heart today?
Maybe you’ve been hurt by someone this week.
Maybe you are feeling nervous or anxious about a situation.
Maybe you just need to know someone cares about you.
Spend time talking with the only One who knows every detail of your situation and will provide true comfort.
😭❤️
Thank you for the Word, the encouragement, and the wise counsel, Kate 🕊️
