3 Steps to Lifting the Weight of Our Burdens
God never intended for us to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders alone.
Do you ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders?
There are times in our lives when we struggle to bear the weight of our stresses, worries, and heartaches.
If you are feeling this way, there is hope.
When I have a burden, I remember the acronym of ASH:
A-Accept
S-Surrender
H-Have faith
Accept the situation.
The first step is recognizing the Lord has brought these circumstances into our lives for a reason.
Whether the issue is temporary or permanent, we need to accept it and seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance. He will help us know the best way to move forward.
Surrender the burden.
The first part of Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
The first word is “come.” We have to initiate the action of moving towards God.
The remainder of the passage says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
We must pray and surrender our heavy loads to Him to find the rest He promises.
Have faith that He will lighten the load.
The book of Psalms contains passages where David cries out to God in distress. David knew the Lord would hear the cries of the righteous (see Psalm 34:17) and could take away their burdens.
Faith is required of a Christian (see Hebrews 11:6). We must believe God can help us persevere in spite of our difficulties.
It is not always God’s will that our affliction be removed. However, He does promise to sustain us through it.
Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 (NKJV)
When you feel the heaviness of life pressing on you, remember you were not meant to carry it alone.
Don’t let it crush your spirit when God can lift it.

Great encouragement! I especially love ASH, and I'll remember that and even teach it to my kiddos!
Thanks for your help Kate much appreciated ♥️🕊️.
