3 Interesting Details About Heaven
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9b (NKJV)
Believers long for the day when we will reach heaven and stand in the presence of God Almighty.
We are comforted by knowing the hardships we face in life are temporary and heaven is forever. (Philippians 3:20)
Here are three interesting things about heaven to uplift us when we get discouraged by the corruption and darkness in our world.
The Sounds of Praise
According to the Bible, the number of angels, living creatures, and elders who are praising God can’t even be counted.
”Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,” Revelation 5:11 (NKJV)
We can’t begin to understand how it will sound, but it will be a joyful and amazing experience.
The Beauty
Nothing on this earth could come close to the breathtaking sight of all the grandeur we will see in heaven.
Revelation gives us glimpses into a few things:
12 gates, each gate made of one pearl (Revelation. 21:21)
The city is made of pure gold, like clear glass (Revelation 21:21)
The foundations of the city wall are adorned with precious stones (jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emerald, sardonyx, sardius, chrysolite, beryl, topaz, chrysoprase, jacinth, and amethyst. Revelation 21:18-20)
The People
It is impossible to know the exact number of humans that have lived on Earth since Adam & Eve. Currently, there are approximately eight billion people on the planet.
Heaven will include hundreds, if not thousands, of unique people groups from every tribe, nation, and part of the world going back to creation. (Revelation 5:9)
It’s exciting to think all believers will join together in the privilege of praising our Savior forever!
These are just a few of the many wonderful and spectacular things the Bile reveals about heaven.
